Paintbrush Strokes of History and Nature After visiting the Museo Civico (Town Museum) in the Argenta town centre, go ahead for a kilometre until you reach the precious small church Pieve di San Giorgio. However, in order to understand the changes the territory was subject to, you cannot fail to visit the Museo della Bonifica (Land Reclamation Museum), situated farther in the north. Going southwards, you can make natural observations in the bird watching hut situated on the bank of Cassa Campotto. Continuing your trip, you will reach the Valli di Argenta Museum. Water, Sky and Bike From the ancient Pieve di S. Giorgio to the Casino di Campotto and the Valli di Argenta Museum, the suggested itinerary by bike unwinds on the bank running along the Cassa Bassarone basin and the Cassa di espansione (expansion basin) in Campotto: a track of about 8 kilometres, which allows visitors to wander through the whole lagoon surface scattered with water-lilies, reed beds, and bulrush beds. All the Colours of Nature If you leave your car in the parking area adjacent to Vallesanta (where there is a bike hire service) on Thursdays, on holidays and on the days before a holiday, you can cover by bike the whole perimeter of the lagoon (about 9 km), admiring the characteristic wet meadow in the surroundings. During the week it is possible to cover a stretch of only 6 kilometres.
