map of the itinerary   Walking on the Bridges
From the monumental Ponte Trepponti bridge, you reach Ponte degli Sbirri first and - by walking along the canal in Via Agatopisto - you will then find the Ponte di San Pietro; reach the opposite bank and cross a small brick bridge (Ponte Pizzetti); turn left and follow the course of the canal of via Buonafede to get to the back of the former Hospital (the alley on the right leads you back to via Agatopisto). Continue on via E. Fogli following the course of waters, and you will find yourself next to the bridge of Via Cavour. By crossing two bridges in via Carducci, in Rione Carmine, walk down via del Rosario first, and via Muratori afterwards. You will return in this way to the Ponte Trepponti bridge .

Visiting Ancient Churches
After visiting the Sanctuary of S.M. in Aula Regia, go along the Capuchin friars arcade to get to the town centre, where you will admire the Cathedral of San Cassiano and the imposing bell tower. Continue your trip towards P.tta Ugo Bassi and turn left in via Cavour: you will find the Sacrario dei Caduti (Memorial Chapel); by walking along the canal - at the end of the street on your right - you will get to to Rione Carmine, where you can admire the church of the same name dedicated to the Virgin Mary. From the bridge in front of the church, you can clearly see a view of the Chiesa del Rosario church – in via Sambertolo. If you cross P.zza Folegatti first and follow via E. Fogli afterwards, you will reach the small church of San Pietro annexed to the former San Camillo Hospital.

Sailing in Comacchio
You can visit the "town on the water" also by boat. There are several departure points managed by different voluntary associations offering a free transport service on the typical flat-bottom boats called “batane”, whose berths are situated in the shade of the Trepponti bridge. This is the departure point of several charming itineraries giving visitors the chance to admire the former San Camillo Hospital (the future Museum of Human Cultures in the Po Delta), Palazzo Bellini in front of it, and the adjacent Museo del Carico della Nave Romana (Museum of the Roman Ship Cargo).
