A Stroll with the Duke Setting off from the Mesola town centre, after visiting the Castle, the route continues towards the 17th-century Torre dellAbate - a building which used to have hydraulic and defensive aims - and to the Bosco della Fasanara wood nearby. Walking along the Bosco della Mesola wood towards the sea, you will reach the 18th-century building Torre Palù. Going towards the lagoon, you will then get to Goro town centre.
Green Reflections
A route by bike along the embroideries of the river: setting off from Mesola, run southwards along the bank - with the Bosco Planiziale della Mesola wood on the one side and the Po river on the other side - to get to Goro. Once at the Mouth of the river Po, close to Gorino, it is possible to reach - on foot or by bike - charming corners among tongues of land creeping into the lagoon.
Flamingoes on the Wing
Going along the Giralda road for a short stretch behind the Abbey of Pomposa, you will reach the road leading to Volano. Going through the Valli Cannaviè - Porticino lagoons, and through the Volano town centre, the wonderful panorama of the Valli Bertuzzi, Cantone and Nuova opens up to your eyes. A large colony of flamingoes has been living in this area since several years, in the April-October period. The panoramic road Acciaioli going southwards leads to the hospitable Comacchio coast.
