CERVIA SALTPANS

Cervia Salt Pans are at the south-east end of the Po Delta Park, they are considered a very interesting place for its nature and landscape. Inhabited by rare species of flamingos, black-winged stilts, avocets and other protected species, it is the reference point for eco-sensivtive visitors. The Visitor Centre, the Park information point, is the departure point for guided tours to the Cervia Salt Pans. It includes a route giving the opportunity to deal both with the historical and economic issues linked to salt production and the naturalistic features characterizing the Salt Pans environment.

A WALK IN THE SALTPANS
A naturalistic itinerary to discover the flora and fauna in the Cervia Salt Pans. Binoculars included.




Period: from 30th March to 9th June and from 21st September to 3rd November: Saturdays, Sundays and holidays at 2.30 pm. From 10th June to 15th September only upon reservations for groups of over 15 participants.
Duration: 1 and a half hours approximately

SALTPANS BY BOAT
Excursion by sun-powered boat to discover the treasures and peculiarities of the salt pans. During the summer you can visit the salting basins to observe how salt crystallizes.

Period: from 30th March to 9th June: Saturday at 4 pm; Sunday and holidays at 10.30 am and 4 pm - from 10th June to 15th September: every day at 5 pm - from 21st September to 3rd November: Saturday at 4 pm; Sunday and holidays at 10.30 am and 4 pm. All year long, upon reservation, for groups of over 15 persons
Duration: approximately 2 hours

SPECIAL ITINERARY BY BOAT: SALT PRODUCTION
Original and exclusive guided itinerary by electric boat along the channel of the Salt Pans through the places and landscapes of historical importance to closely watch the basins where salt crystallizes and discover how the salt collection machines operate.

Period: from mid August: every day at 9.30 am
Duration: 2 hours approximately
