BOSCOFORTE: THE REIGN OF BIODIVERSITY
The Boscoforte Peninsula is a narrow strip of dunes from the Etruscan period, which expands for approximately 6 kilometres into the bank of the Reno river inside the Comacchio valleys. The environmental characteristics, the variety of habitats linked to the coexistence of fresh and brackish waters attract a rich and large bird fauna; it is the place for stopping and nesting chosen by shelducks, avocets, spoonbills and flamingos.
The excursion on foot follows a circular path which enables to admire the landscape of the valley and watch the plant species and water birds present.

Period: the area is only accessible to groups accompanied by authorized personnel, from April to September, on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.
