The Visitor Center is the departure point for guided visits to Cervia Saltpans. It includes a route giving the opportunity to deal both with the historical and economic issues linked to salt production and the naturalistic features characterizing the Saltpans environment.
In the months to come, a new hall dedicated to bird watching will be completed: thanks to specialized equipment and a large glasswall directly facing the salt pan, it will give visitors the opportunity to carry out interesting bird watching activities also during the winter or in case of bad weather conditions.

The Salt Pans are open all year round, upon reservation, for visits and guided tours for groups of over 15 people, also on different times and dates from those indicated. The administrative office of the Visitor Centre works all year round.

Accessibility: The Visitor Centre and the routes within the Nature Sanctuary are accessible for people with disabilities, except tours by electric boat.

Opening hours: The Visitor Centre is open:
from March to June on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays: from 10 am to 12.30 p.m and from 2.30 pm till sunset

from June to September every day from 3.30 p.m. till sunset

from September to November on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays: from 10 am to 12.30 p.m and from 2.30 pm till sunset
