Museum of the Territory of Ostellato

The Museum of the Territory of Ostellato illustrates the evolution of the earth and of humankind throughout history.  Starting from the origins of the universe and the creation of the Earth until now, it retraces the different stages of the relationship between man and the environment, through its transformations and reciprocal influence. The museum setting, conceived especially for the old barn of Corte Valle, develops the theme of the evolution of the land on the ground floor, and that of the history and transformation of the delta area on the first floor. There is an excellent section devoted to the Etruscan period and to the town of Spina, which was given a mise-en-scène evoking its daily life.
The four interactive stations, at the centre of the first floor, offer the visitor an additional tool of in-depth examination of the Po Delta area.
The museum is a sort of journey through the archaeology. By dialoguing with the other local museums, it shows the identity specific to this area and how, also in the past, exchange between different cultures have contributed to enriching the evolution of mankind.
